For this report, a Shopify Plus development company is an agency or engineering firm that holds active Shopify Plus partner status, employs full-time Shopify Plus engineers (not freelancers), can ship a custom Plus storefront end-to-end, and has at least one publicly verifiable Plus client at meaningful scale. Theme-customization shops, marketing agencies that resell Plus, and individual freelancers are excluded.
Among Plus partners, this report further focuses on firms capable of enterprise-grade delivery: B2B and wholesale storefronts, ERP and OMS integration, headless and composable architectures, multi-region rollouts, security and compliance, and replatforming from Adobe Commerce, BigCommerce, Salesforce, or SAP Commerce.
